I maintain my genealogy
database on Family
TreeMaker version 10. I have uploaded parts of my
database as gedcom files to my website so you can download
them if you desire. I have also converted them into
viewable online pages using Gedpage
software. [On 4-22-2003, I
removed all on-line files, hopefully on a temporary
basis. This includes gedcom files, and the on-line family
group pages created with Gedpage. The issues of privacy
and also proper source referencing is becoming an overwhelming
maintenance issue. I currently do NOT have the time
to devote to this project. If I am going to do this
properly and professionally, then I want to do it right.
I will still maintain this web site for original information
and other documented information that I can post with
permission, but otherwise, in an effort to not offend
anyone, I am removing the rest of the data. If you want
to inquire to see if I have information regarding anyone
you are researching, please send me an e-mail and I
will be happy to search my database (now over 100,000
individuals), and will get back to you at my earliest
convenience. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may
cause.]
Any
information that I put on the web is "privatized"
for living individuals (the name shows, but that's all).
If you need any assistance on how to download these
files, please send me an e-mail at .
You will notice that
my e-mail address is actually an image instead of the
text that you would normally click on. I am starting
to do this with all e-mail addresses that I post on
my web site to protect me (and others) from having the
e-mail address (text version) captured by would-be spammers.
I detest receiving junk e-mail and having my e-mail
address captured and sold over and over to idiots. They
do this by using what is called a "web crawler"
that scowers the text on web sites for e-mail addresses.
They do not capture anything in image format. Thanks
for understanding.
GEDCOM
File Posted: I have updated many source
notes on my Pattersons and allied families and have
posted a gedcom
file (right-click on the link and 'save file
as' or 'save target as', depending on your browser)
containing 8,441 individuals. This was done on October
23, 2003. I also rebuilt a version of the gedpages on
this Patterson family using a separate gedcom file containing
5,846 individuals. These gedpages
are the on-line family group pages.
