Lewis (or Louis) Patterson was born ca. 1817/18 in Haywood Co., NC. On September 16, 1836 he married Jerushia Denton in Union Co., Ga. Jerushia was born in 1816 in GA, the daughter of John and Hannah McCord Denton.

Lewis and Jerushia had at least 10 children, as follows:

Lewis and Jerushia were still living in Tuscaloosa Co., AL in 1880. Nothing further is known of them at this time.
