The
second child of George and Sophia Dunnegan Patterson was Irashamon "Arnie" Patterson. He was born ca. 1853, according to the 1860 Union Co Ga census. He was the second of five children born to George Patterson by his second wife Sophia. It is unclear what happened to all five of these children during the 1860's.
Sophia remarried to William Jameson on November 27, 1866. That occurred in Union Co Ga. Obviously, George Patterson had died sometime between 1860 and 1866. However, in 1870, William Jameson remarried, so Sophia must have died between 1866 and 1870, as well. None of these five children were living with Mr. Jameson in 1870.
Therefore, some or all of George and Sophia's five children may have died during the 1860's, but I don't know that for sure. Any help would be appreciated.
