The French and Indian War took place from 1754 – 1763 approximately. Many of these same individuals were involved in that campaign in one fashion or another. The Harrisons and Cravens were heavily involved in the fighting, while others I’m sure were more effective in providing supplies in “defence of the colony”. The following list describes some of those who were rewarded for their efforts. The 1758 Act for the Defense of the Frontiers of this Colony [VA] was an act that was recorded on 9-14-1758 at Williamsburg, VA. There were many listings on the schedule for Augusta Co., VA, including the following:12,13
