Flag of Bangladesh. Formerly East Pakistan, Bangladesh gained its independence in 1971. It is bordered on the W, N, and NE by India, and on the SE by Myanmar (Burma). The Bay of Bengal is located on the south of Bangladesh.	Bangladesh in red.	A more regional map of Bangladesh as situated in Asia.	Wes Patterson lived at different times in the 4 locations labeled in red, Natore in the NW, Dhaka (center), Chittagong & Malumghat in the SE jungle. Wes lived there from 1979 to 1984, and again for 5 months during the Fall and Winter of 1986-87.
